Chief Master Sergeant Zaki "Tico" Mazid

Joint Task Force Guantanamo Command Senior Enlisted Leader

Chief Master Sergeant Zaki J. Mazid is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In this capacity, he serves as principal advisor to the Joint Task Force commander on personnel issues affecting an organization of more than 1,700 military, civilian, and contractors. 
 
Chief Mazid entered the Air Force in March 1993.Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of joint special operations positions and as a joint unit Air Force Senior Enlisted Advisor. Chief Mazid has taken part in various humanitarian operations and deployed in support of numerous contingency and combat operations including Joint Special Operations Task Forces, Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
